Vacay
I spent the majority of July and the beginning of August back in the states for vacation. Plenty of family time, rest and catching up with friends later, I write to you from Honduras once again. Downtime during vacation brought me to reflect on two things I am grateful for in a new way after having spent the better part of the last year at the Finca.
Family - I gained a new family this last year by becoming part of the Finca community. I was reminded of that by how much I missed the Finca while on vacation. It was very life-giving to spend time not only with my immediate family back home, but friends and extended family as well. I would not be where I am today without my family.
Suffering - What a privilege and an honor it is for someone to share their suffering with you. An even greater honor still, for them to invite you into that suffering.
Pray for me as I begin year two! Know that I'll be praying for you!
